Auxiliary optical telephone EK POT-1 is part of the EK DIC-2 system that serves as a replacement for multi-kilometer LB telephone lines between railway stations and local LB telephone lines within stations.
Functionally, it completely replaces the traditional auxiliary inductor board (wall board), enabling better voice connection quality and introducing additional functionalities.
EK POT-1 has the full functionality of an inductor telephone, but also the switching functionality of the associated gearbox and polyphonic ringing signal. For this purpose, digital lines have been implemented on which it is possible to switch calls and calls to and from inductor telephones. At the same time, the auxiliary optical phone has advanced functionalities in working with inductor phones, as well as advanced features that can only be used in working with optical phones.

The EK POT-1 auxiliary optical telephone has a housing shape that can be used as a desktop or wall-mounted telephone.
