Opening of the Gradec - Sveti Ivan Žabno railway

On Monday, December 16, 2019, the newly built Gradec - Sveti Ivan Zabno railway was officially opened. It is the first newly built railway in Croatia after 52 years. It is intended for local transport and its purpose is to bring the City of Bjelovar and the Bjelovar region closer to the City of Zagreb. The single-track, non-electrified railway is 12.2 km long and is designed for a speed of 120 km / h.
